Comments

  • On SGI computers configuration information was given in either of the two ways (as indicated above):
    • Additional configuration number. These were common during the IRIS 4D days butwere no longer used after that.
    • Modified model number. These scheme was used roughly starting with the Indigo era after the departure of the IRIS 4D line.
  • The configuration information is not to be taken for granted. The machine could have been up- or downgraded after it has left the SGI factory.
